TabTrade Broker Review - The Good and the Catch

The Broker — The Short Version

TabTrade opened in March 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail tells you something. It suggests the person running this has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. It is more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

The instrument list: forex, indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For something that is a few months old, that range is solid.

Platforms

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have used MetaTrader previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the alternative. Better DOM. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That would be a good addition once it is live.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not relevant to the average person. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

The execution is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.

Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That signals something about priorities.

Pair that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and what you get makes sense. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.

The FSRA Question

Now, the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. That does not make it safe. But factor into your decision.

The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard deposit match. You deposit, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before funding.
